OVERVIEW
Basic Needs refers to the most essential resources required to thrive as a student, which includes access to nutritious food, stable housing, and financial wellness resources.
At The Hub Basic Needs Center (The Hub), we provide resource referrals for registered UC San Diego students from a collective of on-campus program collaborations and off-campus program partnerships in the greater San Diego area. We strive to increase equitable access to food, housing, and financial wellness resources for all students by breaking down barriers and engaging in transformative dialogues surrounding students' basic needs so they can focus on their academic success contributing to holistic well-being.
As the Marketing and Communications Lead, I strive to inform the student body about The Hub Basic Needs Center and all of the services and resources that it offers. I hope to continue growing the branding and identity of The Hub Basic Needs Center and increase partnerships with other resource centers for our on and off-campus programs.

"I am very grateful for my time at the Hub Basic Needs Center as my work and the support of my amazing team have pushed me to try new projects and tackle skills that I never thought I would be able to accomplish!"

DATA REPORTS
Every quarter, I collaborate with the supervisors and pro-staff committee of the Basic Needs Center to gather data from all of current programs/resources and compile them all in a digestible data report to present to the Basic Needs Committee as well as the Chancellor's Office at the University of California, San Diego. Our report represents important data reflecting the basic needs resources that are being used by students and report the types of students who utilize our programs the most such as college, first-generation status, ethnicity, and pell grant status.
